Ao Daï
The Ao Daï is the traditional costume of Vietnamese women. Women and girls wear the Ao Daï for a variety of occasions: as school uniform for secondary school, for their weddings and for national holidays such as the New Year celebrations of Têt. In times past, the Ao Daï was reserved solely for the nobility.
These Ao Daïs are composed of a long sleeveless silk tunic, open at the sides, and matching trousers. The Ao Daï hangs well and is very pleasant to wear as evening dress, or as day wear from the springtime onwards.
These Ao Daï tunics are accompanied by black silk trousers.
