Mahogany box with mirror and comb

For centuries, Vietnamese craftsmen have worked in wood, making objects both for decoration and for practical use. Mother of pearl inlay is also part of a strong craft tradition.

This mahogany box is rectangular and made in the Hoi An area of Cental Vietnam. There are three models, all with mother of pearl inlay on the covers and depicting different scenes of Vietnamese life. Inside the box you will find a mirror and wooden comb on a base of red material.
